The Sixth Bry-Air Awards for Excellence in HVAC&R function was held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at Air Force Auditorium, New Delhi, coinciding with Acrex 2011. The Bry-Air Awards function has become an annual event for the HVAC&R industry and the whole industry looks forward to it.

The Chief Guest , Dr. Ashwani Kumar, the Honorable Minister of State for Ministry of Science & Technology with additional responsibility of the Ministries of Earth Sciences, Planning & Parliamentary Affairs, in his speech said “The Bry-Air Awards recognizes and honors innovation and I am going to share my vision for innovation in India ..looking ahead. I refer to it as “Inno-vision” ..Vision for India to ride on its innovative work and creative thinking.”

The function was graced by many stalwarts from international as well Indian HVAC&R industry like Ms. Lynn Bellenger, President, American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Mr. Marc MacCracken, Chair, U.S. Green Building Council Ms. Maija Virta: CEO Green Building Council - Finland, Green Building Council, Prof. Walid Chakroun, DRC, RAL, ASHRAE Falcon Chapter, Dr. S.C. Shekhar: President, ASHRAE, Singapore Chapter, Mr Raj Kumar: President, SIEUAE, Mr. Pankaj Shah, President, Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating, Air-conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), Dr. Prem C. Jain, Chairman, Indian Green Building Council .

Instituted in 2006, Bry-Air awards are held annually to reward and recognize outstanding contributions and technological breakthroughs undertaken by corporates and students in rapidly expanding HVAC&R field.The awards have become a cornerstone for recognition for the Indian HVAC&R Engineer

The criteria of adjudging winners included level of Innovation, Energy efficiency & Environment friendliness of the project. The Bry-Air Awards are presented to individuals, corporate or students who have made an outstanding contribution in the following categories:

| • Students Category for Most Outstanding and Innovative Projects. | ||
| In each category, the winner takes away the Trophy and a cheque for Rs. 1,00,000.00. | ||
