Individually
Ventilated Animal Caging System
Individually Ventilated Animal Caging
System is the most appropriate solution for almost all
the complications faced in conventional caging system.
In this system, individual cages are treated as a separate
room for animal. The total volume of cages are much
lower compared to the total volume of animal room. The
requirement of fresh air quantity reduces to almost
10% due to reduction in the volume. The system offers
a huge saving in power and also much better environment
for the animal along with complete isolation.
The IV caging system mainly consists of three main sub
systems.
»
IVC animal cages
» IVC rack with
ducting
» IVC Ventilator
Cages are positioned in IVC rack. The
supply and exhaust air headers are connected with IVC
Ventilator.
The supply air unit of IVC Ventilator sucks fresh air
from the room, passes it through prefilter and Hepa
filter and supplies the clean air to all cages through
supply air ducting network of IVC rack. Similarly, the
exhaust air unit of IVC Ventilator sucks the contaminated
air from all cages, again passes it through pre-filter,
Hepa filter and discharges the filtered air to the environment.
