The THIRD Bry-Air Awards for Excellence in HVAC&R function was held on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Bangalore coinciding with ACREX 2008. Though only in its third year, the Bry-Air Awards evening has now become an annual event and the whole industry looks forward to it.
February 16, 2008, Bangalore - The 3rd Bry-Air Award Function
The venue of the evening was the picturesque lawns of the Jayamahal Palace, Bangalore.
The function was attended by over 800 guests mostly from the HVAC&R industry not only from south but from all over India and abroad.
The evening began with a glimpses of the FIRST and SECOND Bry-Air Awards Function held at Delhi (February 19, 2006) and Kolkata (January 19, 2007) followed by speeches by eminent industry leaders.
After a welcome speech by Mr. Deepak Pahwa, Managing Director Bry-Air (Asia) & Group Chairman, Pahwa Enterprises, Mr. Pankaj Dharkar, President, ISHRAE-HQ and one of the industry's leading consultants spoke passionately about attracting young talent to the industry in his speech titled “ISHRAE and it's role in attracting Engineering student to the HVAC&R".

A fusion dance performance choreographed especially for the event followed by the speakers. Then, the moment for which everyone was waiting for arrive the awards.
A new category for students has been instituted this year.
